HULU TERENGGANU, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Wook Kundur, 107, believed to be the oldest woman in Terengganu, is appealing to the National Anti-Drug Agency to shorten the detention of her husband, Mohd Nor Che Musa, 38, at the Sungai Besi Narcotics Addiction Rehabilitation Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Speaking to reporters at her home in Kampung Bukit Tok Bat here today, the woman said she needed her husband by her side to help her cope with her deteriorating health.
"I have no one to depend on right now," she said.
Wook is hoping that her husband, who voluntarily opted for a two-year rehabilitation programme since July this year after he was tested positive for drugs, would be released soon, if not relocated to Terengganu.
"Rumour has it that my husband will be relocated to the drug rehabilitation centre in Besut. If that is the case, then it will be easier for me to pay him a visit," she said.
Wook, who has been married 22 times, said she had, on several occasions, spoke to Mohd Nor through the phone, and had also visited him once before Aidilfitri this year.
