| Energy Commission Chairman Laid To Rest |

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Energy Commission chairman Datuk Pian Sukro, 63, who died of a stroke at a polyclinic in Rome on Saturday, was laid to rest at the Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery Wednesday.
His remains arrived at the KL International Airport at 6.55am and were taken to Balai Islam at the Tenaga Nasional Berhad complex in Jalan Bangsar for prayers and for colleagues and friends to pay their last respects. Among those present Works Minister Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor, Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui and his deputy Noriah Kasnon.
Pian died of a stroke at the Agostino Gemelli University polyclinic in Rome.
He leaves behind a wife, Datin Dr Kobkua Suwannathat, two sons and a daughter.
His eldest son, Bhuni Mas, 34, a Tenaga Nasional engineer, said he was a jovial and kind man, and had always been healthy.
"My late father just had his medical check up a few months back and he was doing well...perfectly fine. So, we are still in shock over his sudden death," he said.
