BANDAR SERI ISKANDAR, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) concluded its 24th edition of Engineering Design Exhibition (EDX) recently, showcasing more than 100 projects from different fields.
The participation in EDX24, held on October 21-22, included three groups from the School Category -- two from MRSM Taiping and one from Sekolah Menengah Teknik Slim River, UTP said in a statement, Wednesday.
EDX, which has become a main educational activity held every semester in UTP, is organised primarily to showcase students' innovations and creative ideas as well as provide a platform for the students and staff to exhibit their projects to visitors.
Held for two days every semester, EDX comprises of categories such as Engineering Team Project, Final Year Project, Open Innovation Competition and Postgraduate Project.
For the 24th edition EDX, a total of 32 gold medals, 71 silver and seven bronze were awarded.
The Business Information System Programme carried the day with four gold and six silver medals to receive the Best Department Award.
