Housewife Pleads Not Guilty To Human Trafficking


PETALING JAYA, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- A housewife pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here Wednesday to two counts of human trafficking last September.

Anita Nordin, 43, from Petaling Jaya, is charged with trafficking Indonesian Deden Firman, 27, in a house at no 5 PJS/7/15D Bandar Sunway, at 2pm on Sept 29 this year.

On the second count, the mother of three children is charged with trafficking Patimah, 36, also an Indonesian, at the same place, date and time.

Judge Balqis Aini Mohd Ali allowed Anita bail of RM12,000 in one surety on each charge and fixed Jan 12 for mention.

Deputy public prosecutor Fatimah Zahari prosecuted while Anita was represented by lawyer T. Mishant.
