| Power Outage To Average An Hour A Month |

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Malaysians can expect power outage to average an hour a month in the future, the Dewan Rakyat was told Wednesday.
Datuk Idris Haron (BN-Tangga Batu) said the calculation was based on the government's target to have the national average (outage) to be in the region of 700 minutes a year.
"I urge Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) to review this 700 minutes target so that the average is in line with progress made in energy development in the world," he said when debating the Supply Bill 2010.
He also urged the government to intensify efforts to raise awareness on green technology among the population.
