Police Arrest Five Indonesians, Seize Smuggled Cigarettes

SITIAWAN, Nov 4 (Bernama) -- The Marine Operations Force (MOF) thwarted an attempt to smuggle cigarettes near Pulau Talang in the waters off the Perak coastline early Wednesday.

Five Indonesian men were arrested with the seizure of cigarettes worth about RM700,000, in the incident near Segari about 1.50am.

Kampung Acheh MOF commanding officer Supt Shaari Ariffin said confirmed the arrests and seizure.
