Schools Get Books From Scholastic Malaysia


PETALING JAYA, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- Two hundred schools selected by the Education Ministry received 44,200 books from book publisher Scholastic Malaysia this year under the Read2009: One Nation Reading Together Programme.

The objective of the programme was to inculcate the reading habit among children, Scholastic Asia senior vice-president Maggie Tan said.

The programme was launched by Education Deputy Director-General (Day School Management) Abdullah Md Yunus yesterday on behalf of Deputy Education Minister Datuk Wee Ka Siong.
