KERJAYA PROSPEK UNIT BAGS RM94.8 MLN CONTRACTS FROM BBCC
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 (Bernama) – Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd’s wholly-owned unit, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award worth RM94.83 million from BBCC Development Sdn Bhd (“BBCC”) to undertake main building works of a nine-storey retail podium, five-storey car park and a light rail transit (LRT) link bridge located at Jalan Hang Tuah/Jalan Pudu in Kuala Lumpur.
BBCC is a joint venture company set up by the Employees Provident Fund, UDA Holdings Bhd and Eco World Bhd.
Executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho said the project’s construction works would take approximately 14 months, from its scheduled commencement in August 2019 and targeted completion by October 2020.
“This latest letter of award brings the company’s total contracts secured for this financial year ending Dec 31, 2019 to RM1.2 billion, achieving our internal target of RM1.2 billion,” he said in a statement today.
He said the contract would increase the company’s outstanding order book to approximately RM3.45 billion which would provide earnings visibility for the next three years.
He added that the company would also be tendering for works on three commercial towers, with heights ranging from 34 storeys to 45 storeys, above the retail podium.
