Chairman of EXIM Bank Malaysia, Datuk Feizal Mustapha
KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 (BERNAMA) -- Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd (EXIM Bank) has appointed Datuk Feizal Mustapha as its new chairman, effective April 9.
He succeeded Datuk Mat Noor Nawi who retired from the bank on Sept 30, 2018, EXIM Bank said in a statement.
Armed with vast experience in the corporate finance and advisory fields, it said Feizal is expected to continue and steer the bank to greater heights.
He has 25 years’ experience in the country’s capital market, covering a multitude of areas through his various management capacities and leadership roles, rendering him a frequent speaker on the subject matter in the domestic and international markets.
Feizal previously served the Securities Commission Malaysia for 19 years in various capacities and in different areas of the capital market which include regulatory oversight and overall market development.
He joined BDO Malaysia in 2012 as executive director, advisory and became chairman in 2015 until recently.
Feizal is currently a director of the firm and was recently appointed to the Board of Widad Group Bhd as chairman.
He holds a Master in Business Administration (Finance) from Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from the University of Stirling.
He is also a fellow member of CPA Australia and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Insolvency Practitioners Association of Malaysia, a chartered valuer and appraiser of the Institute of Valuers and Appraisers, Singapore, and a member of the Listing Committee of Bursa Malaysia.
