Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki
KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali today officially begins his duty as the new Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence (MinDef).
The ministry, in a statement, said Mohd Zuki was appointed to replace Datuk Seri Halimi Abd Manaf who had to undergo compulsory retirement on April 12.
According to the statement, he used to hold the posts of Prime Minister’s Department’s Senior Deputy Secretary General, Sarawak Federal Secretary Office’s Sarawak’s Federal Secretary, Prime Minister’s Department and Prime Minister’s Department Legal Affairs Division director-general.
‘’He is from Terengganu and has a Bachelor in Economics (Development and Planning) degree, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia 1986 and a Master’s degree in Business Management (Finance), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore/Massachusset Institute of Technology, Boston, USA 1999,” said the statement.
Earlier, this morning he was received by the Malaysian Armed Forces chief Gen Tan Sri Zulkilfi Zainal Abidin upon his arrival before inspecting a guard of honour comprising three officers and 103 soldiers.
“Mohd Zuki then paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Defence (Mohamad Sabu) and the deputy Minister of Defence (Liew Chin Tong),” said the statement.
