KUALA LUMPUR, 17 Mei (Bernama) -- Kirandeep Kaur Gurdip Singh, 16, is among the 20 players listed by head coach, Muhammad Dhaarma Raj Abdullah to lead the country's challenge at the FIH Women's Series Finals in Northern Ireland, next month.
The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) in a statement today noted that Muhammad Dhaarma Raj also listed seven players who are playing in several European hockey leagues for the competition to be held at Banbridge Hockey Club from June 8-16, which serves as a 2020 Olympic Games qualifying tournament.
They are Raja Norsharina Raja Shabuddin, Surizan Awang Noh and Nuraslinda Said who play in the Scottish League; Hanis Nadiah Onn and Wan Norfaiezah Saiuti (German League) as well as Nuraini Abd Rashid and Fatin Shafika Mohd Sukri (Italian League).
Malaysia are drawn in Group A with Czech Republic, Singapore and the host nation while Group B consists of South Korea, Scotland, Ukraine and France.
The two best teams from the tournament will qualify for the final round of the 2020 Olympic Games qualifying tournament.
