KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (Bernama) -- Giant Malaysia today unveils its fresh new look hypermarket in Batu Caves following a makeover which provides an attractive, systematic and organised layout that will ease shoppers in navigating their way through the hypermarket.

Managing director of GCH Retail Malaysia Pierre-Olivier Deplanck said the company has targeted to revamp 27 Giant stores across the country by the end of this year while the rest of the outlets would be upgraded after the next Chinese New Year.

Giant Malaysia operates 87 stores nationwide.

“The decision to revamp Giant stores is a testament to Giant’s commitment in providing not just quality products but also in terms of enhancing customers’ experience,” he told reporters after re-launching Giant Hypermarket Batu Caves, here today.

In another development, Deplanck said Giant was looking into providing online shopping services for its customers.

"We do not have our own e-commerce platform yet, but we are seriously looking into it as online shopping is one of the most preferred platforms by today’s societies.

"Currently, we are partnering with Happy Fresh to provide a convenient online shopping experience for our customers,” he said.
