KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 -- MMAG Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary, Line Clear Express and Logistics Sdn Bhd and Jakarta-based PT Lion Express have inked a multi-year business collaboration agreement on a parcel sending service.

In a statement today, MMAG said this partnership would enable Malaysians or Indonesians, who are residing in Malaysia, to send goods or parcels to Indonesia and vice versa.

Both parties will deliver a range of supply chain management services, including logistics, warehousing facilities, last mile deliveries, transportation, and customised solutions.

They also offer specialised value-added services, like bonded warehouse facilities in both countries, insurance coverage, using flight network of Lion Air Group.

“Being selected to work with Lion Parcel of Indonesia has expanded our target market beyond the 30 million population size in Malaysia,” Line Clear Express and Logistics chief executive officer Wong Eng Su said.

He said this should provide the catalyst for small medium enterprises to tap into the 264 million population market in Indonesia.

PT Lion Express chief executive officer Farian Kirana pointed out that Lion Air Group with a big fleet of passenger and cargo aeroplanes would enable transporting goods besides people at a timely manner.

“We are confident that our partnership with Line Clear will address the delivery needs of 2.5 million Indonesians in Malaysia,” he said.
