TFC ready to welcome back two T'ganu players

KUALA TERENGGANU, Nov 9 -- Terengganu FC (TFC) are ready to welcome back two of the state's homegrown players - Nor Hakim Hassan and Arif Fadzillah Abu Bakar - if they wished to be part of the team next season.

Head coach Nafuzi Zain said the two players were no strangers to the state's football fans as they had been among T-Team's key players in 2017 before heading to other teams in 2018.

In fact, it was Nafuzi who spotted Arif Fadzillah's talent while the former was coaching the President's Cup squad in 2016 that emerged as the runners-up, before the latter went on to join T-Team in the Super League under coach Rahmad Darmawan in 2017.

"Nor Hakim, who plays as a winger (for Perak) and Arif (left-back for Felda United) have been key players from the time they were in T-Team.

"If they are interested in returning to the serve the state, I will always keep the door wide open for them," he said when asked to comment on news linking TFC to the two players.

The Terengganu State Football Association (PBSNT) had earlier announced that the services of left-backs Adib Aizuddin Ab Latif and Khairul Anwar Shahruddin would not be extended next season.

The same fate also befell wingers Malik Mat Ariff, Ahmad Syamim Yahya, Shahrul Aizad Zulkifli and Khairul Izuan Rosli, leaving some vacancies in these positions.

However, Nafuzi said he would leave it up to PBSNT’s top management to thrash out the agreements, as it would depend on the team’s financial capabilities.

"Their experience in the local footballing scene is precious, and they will be valuable assets to TFC if their (transfers) materialise,” he said adding that there had been no confirmation over the deals from the management so far.
