Ousted Nissan Chairman indicted by prosecutors on fresh charge

TOKYO, Jan 11 (Bernama) -- Tokyo prosecutors on Friday indicted ousted Nissan Motor Co. chairman Carlos Ghosn on a fresh charge of aggravated breach of trust and under-reporting his compensation.

Xinhua news agency reported the automotive heavyweight was served with a fresh arrest warrant for allegedly under-reporting nine billion yen (US$83 million) of his remuneration during the three years through March 2018.

Ghosn was initially arrested on Nov 19 last year for allegedly understating about five billion yen (US$45 million dollars) of his 10 billion yen compensation during the five years through March 2015.
