SEREMBAN, May 24 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Klawang Vocational College student who died in the bus-Nissan X-Trail crash at Jalan Pantai-Bukit Tangga, Jelebu, Bukit Tangga here yesterday, has been described as a good student, who listened to and was liked by his teachers.

Muhammad Firdaus Syarul Azam’s teacher, Masad Masiran, 29, said, the electrical course student loved to help others and received instructions from his teachers well.

“Although quiet by nature, he was always smiling. He was a good student.

“All of us feel his loss,” he said when met at the Forensics Department, Tuanku Jaafar hospital here.

Masad said, initially, he thought it was not a serious accident and might have involved minor injuries after looking at pictures on the college Whatsapp group.

However, after being informed that a student had been killed, he quickly rushed to the hospital along with other teachers.

“I only learnt about it at 4.15pm. The students were on their way back to their kampung for the Hari Raya holidays along with other passengers,” said Masad.

A post-mortem on Muhammad Firdaus was carried out this morning and his remains will be brought to his hometown in Batang Berjuntai, Selangor.

Muhammad Firdaus was the only child of Syarul Nizam Jaafar, a teacher at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Parit Mahang, Jeram, Selangor.

In the incident, 37 other passengers were injured and received treatment at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital.
