RSK Taman Kemumin first home to receive BeSS recognition

KOTA BHARU, June 13 (Bernama) -- Rumah Seri Kenangan (RSK) Taman Kemumin in Pengkalan Chepa here is the first Old Folks Home in the country to receive the Clean, Safe and Healthy (BeSS-Bersih, Selamat and Sihat) recognition.

Kelantan Welfare Department director, Said Sidup said the recognition was given by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to encourage food entrepreneurs to provide safe and healthy food.

“The home prepares food for 95 residents aged between 60 and 95 years old, some of whom are sickly, schizophrenic and disabled, who must be given a proper diet,” he said after presenting the BeSS certificate at the home in Taman Kemumin here today.

Also present were RSK Taman Kemumin superintendent, Rosni Yaacob and Kota Bharu District Health Epidemiological Officer, Dr Sharina Dir.
