Tseu appointed as Sarawak CVLB Chairman

KUCHING, June 17 (Bernama) -- Dr Lawrence Tseu Sed Kong is Sarawak's new Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) chairman, effective June 13. 

He will serve for two years until June 12, 2021, in accordance with Article 6 of the CVLB Act 1987 (Act 334).

The Transport ministry in a statement here today said the appointment of Tseu who has 35 years’ experience in both the public and private sector, was in line with its aspirations to ensure quality delivery of its commercial vehicle licensing services.

Tseu obtained his doctorate degree in Urban Transportation Planning from Strathclyde University (Scotland), United Kingdom and began his career at the Sarawak Land and Survey Department. He had also served in the Sarawak State Planning Unit.

He joined the private sector in 2014 as an Urban Transport and Regional Planning consultant with several companies in the country and abroad.

Tseu has also been a Royal Town Planning Institute (London) member since 1989 and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Planners since 1987.

He is also a registered Malaysia Town Planning Board member and has been active in the Sustainable Mobility for Asia Network and Institute for Transportation and Development.
