Owner charged with allowing underage into entertainment centre

IPOH, June 21 (Bernama) -- An entertainment outlet owner pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court here today to hiring illegal immigrants and allowing underage into the premises earlier this month.

Ng Meng Kuan, 42,  was alleged to have committed the offences at the premises at Lorong Kilang 3B, Kawasan Perindustrian Ringan Taiping, between 7.30 pm and 11.45 pm on June 7.

The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Nor Raihan Rithwan while Ng was represented by lawyers Mohamad Izwan Ishak and Kelvin Tan.

Magistrate Mohd Hairol Jemain allowed bail at RM10,000 in one surety for the first count and RM2,000 with one surety for the second count.

He fixed July 22 for mention.
