KFA worried about players' fitness ahead of clash against Felda United

Last Update: 28/06/2019

ALOR SETAR, June 28 (Bernama) -- Kedah Football Association (KFA) honorary secretary Mohd Asmirul Anuar Aris has expressed concern about the fitness levels of Kedah players ahead of their FA Cup semi-finals second-leg clash against Felda United this Sunday.

He said it would be a tough match for Aidil Sharin Sahak’s men who play away at Stadium Tun Abdul Razak (STAR) in Jengka, Pahang to protect a one-goal aggregate lead from the first leg on June 22.

Their recent Super League encounter against PJ City FC at Stadium Darul Aman, on Wednesday, has also left them tired.

"The fitness factor is the team’s main concern and I hope head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak can overcome the issue before (the kickoff on) Sunday. Although there are weaknesses there (in terms of fitness), I believe Kedah can still produce goals with their fighting spirit," he told Bernama here today.

He also reminded the players to follow all plans and tactical instructions, and most importantly, play well in their respective positions.

In the meantime, Mohd Asmirul and all of KFA's leadership line-up have called upon the ‘Lang Merah’ supporters to enliven the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium with their solid support for Kedah to win the match and march into the finals.
