Kelantan food entrepreneurs urged to be creative, innovative

KOTA BHARU, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- Food entrepreneurs in Kelantan have been urged to be more creative and innovative in promoting their products.
State Local Government, Housing and Health Committee chairman Dr Izani Husin said the move was important in efforts to attract more customers and thus increase their revenue.
He said this at a press conference after officiating the 2019 Thailand Halal Products and Food Festival at the AEON Mall Kota Bharu here last night.
Also present were Thai Consul-General to Kota Bharu Mongkol Sinsomboon and Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC) secretary-general Somkeart Ponprayoon.
He said entrepreneurs involved in food products should always strive to be creative and innovative and to turn traditional foods into a new product to attract more customers.
The six-day festival, held for the first time, involved five Thai provinces, namely, Narathiwat, Yala, Pattani, Satun and Songkhla, began on July 30, boasted 64 booths including 30 food stalls while others selling handicrafts and many more.
