Kelantan JBS organises beach run

KOTA BHARU, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- The Kelantan Youth and Sports Department (YSD) will organise the 2019 Kelantan National Eco Race under a rugged beach run concept, on Sept 6 and 7.
Its deputy director, Mohammad Abd Rahman said that the characteristic of the run would be in its mass participation to give the opportunity to fans of recreational activities to take part and to foster an energetic and healthy lifestyle.
He said that the run would start at the Pantai Irama Expo Site, Bachok and would pass through Pantai Damat, Kampung Perupok, Merabang, Kemasin, Kubang Golok and end back at Pantai Irama.
‘’What’s interesting is that the first five kilometres of the route will pass two world war 11 forts and two 20-metre statues which are tourist attractions to Kelantan.
‘’Participants will also be able to see the second highest Buddha statues in South East Asia after Myanmar, namely, an attraction for participants from the Buddhist faith. In addition, the participants will pass a fishermen’s jetty with many local fishing boats,’’ he told a media conference before a bowling competition with the media here, last night.
