UMS alumni Dg Irme Hafziany reaps benefit from bakery, cake business

KOTA KINABALU, Aug 15 (Bernama) -- An alumni  of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Dg Irme Hafziany Ag Yusop, 33, has been able to earn RM4 million a year through her bakery and cafe business, the ‘Kak Kiah Coffee House”.

According to Dg Irme Hafziany who is from Papar, the business was started by her mother, a single parent, in 2008, selling homemade cakes to support her family.

“In 2013, I decided to expand her business and introduced the “Cake in Jar” on the internet.

“After demand increased, I started the “Kak Kiah Cake House” and the “Kak Kiah Coffee House”, and today, the whole family is involved in the business,” she said in a statement sent through UMS here today.

Dg Irme Hafziany is a graduate of the Faculty of Psychology and Education, UMS.

She advised aspiring entrepreneurs to never give up or lose their focus even if the people around them were not supportive.

Dg Irme Hafziany said she had plans to expand her business overseas to all Asian countries within the next five to 10 years.
