Last Update: 17/08/2019

KUALA TERENGGANU, Aug 17 (Bernama) — A minute’s silence was observed before the start of the Malaysia Cup match at Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah here tonight as a mark of respect for Terengganu FC (TFC) goalkeeper Mohd Suffian Abd Rahman, who died earlier in the day.

Players, officials and fans who filled the stadium for the match between the Turtles and Negeri Sembilan also read the al-Fatihah.

Mohd Suffian, 41, died of a heart attack at 1.10 pm and was buried at 6.50 pm at the Banggol Pauh Muslim cemetery in Kuala Nerus.

He had played for TFC since 2017.
