Agong, Queen attend Tahlil marking 100th day of demise of Sultan Ahmad Shah

KUANTAN, Aug 29 -- Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today attended a ‘Tahlil' at Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah 1 here today, which marked the 100th day of the demise of his father, Sultan Ahmad Shah.

His Majesty who was accompanied by Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, arrived at the mosque at 6.55 pm.

The royal couple were received on arrival by the Regent of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah and Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

The reciting of the Yasin and Tahlil was led by the mosque imam, Mohd Khalil Mohd Zari and this was followed by Maghrib prayers.

Sultan Ahmad Shah passed away at 8.50 am on May 22 at age 88, at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur.
