Datu Junaidi Reduan is new Kuching North City Mayor

KUCHING, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Datu Junaidi Reduan was sworn in as the new Mayor of Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) before Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg at the DBKU headquarters here today.

Junaidi, 61, who is the former deputy state secretary, replaced Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai.

Briefly, the new mayor said that  DBKU would work with the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) in managing the areas of mutual responsibilities.

“I have had informal discussions with the MBKS to identify the issues that need to be focused and chart out our direction together,” he told reporters after the swearing-in ceremony.
