Last Update: 18/09/2019

MELAKA, Sept 17 -- Melaka Chief Minister Adly Zahari tonight told residents in the state to report areas affected by water supply disruption directly to him via his official Facebook site.

He said he would be monitoring with the officers involved on all complaints on water supply and they would be channeled to Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad (SAMB) for further action such as sending water tankers to the affected areas.

"For those who experienced water supply disruption, please send your comments on the location as well as the number of days, they were not served by SAMB water tankers.

"I have ordered all officers to monitor each complaint sent to me on my Facebook page,” he said in a Facebook posting here tonight.

On Saturday, Adly was reported as saying the state is facing water shortage as daily water consumption in the state was 600 million litres while the state water company could only supply 550 million litres due to a dry spell in the state.
