Kelantan to get focus under shared prosperity vision

KOTA BHARU, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- The federal government will giving due attention to infrastructure development in Kelantan to reduce the poverty disparity among the states in the realisation of the Shared Prosperity Vision.

Deputy Economic Affairs Minister Senator Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin said among the main emphasis of the federal government is to complete the Kota Bharu-Kuala Krai Highway which could shorten travelling time from two hours to just 45 minutes.

“Before this, we have visited several major roads and one of them is the Kota Bharu-Kuala Krai Highway.

“With better infrastructure, I am confident there would be savings in travelling time for motorists. Apart from that, we also looking at several other development projects,” he told reporters here today.

He was speaking to reporters after opening a Friends of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) Fiesta at Kelantan Matriculation College in Kok Lanas here which was also attended by Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) chairman, Datuk Junaidah Kiting.
