Massive win for TSG's Nur Amirul in top stage three

BENTONG, Oct 17-- Terengganu Inc TSG Cycling Team (TSG) rider, Nur Amirul Fakhruddin Marzuki has emerged as the first Malaysian to record a stage win in the inaugural Tour of Peninsular (TOP) today.
The 27-year-old cyclist was champion of third stage from Padang MPK 2, Kuantan to Jalan Besar Karak a distance of 172.7 km in three hours 49 minutes and 59 seconds.
The success also saw Nur Amirul claiming three jerseys namely the yellow jersey as the overall leader, the blue jersey as King of Sprint and also the white jersey as the best Asian rider.
In the second place was Iran's Amir Kolahdozhagh of Taiyuan Miogee Cycling Team who made the dash with Nur Amirul and clocked the same time.
It was also big day for TSG and Malaysian riders when Mohd Harrif Saleh who was in the main pack succeeded in finishing in the third place in 3:50:10s.
The fourth stage tomorrow will see a challenging ride from Sungai Koyan to Cameron Highlands over 89.5 km which could determine the overall champion and King of Mountains.
