Fine dining restaurant to operate at drawbridge in Terengganu next year

KUALA TERENGGANU, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- A fine dining restaurant on the drawbridge will be Terengganu’s latest attraction.
The project, by TI Properties Sdn Bhd, is expected to be in operation in January next year.
Its chief executive officer, Khalizan Mahmud, said the restaurant would be operated by a company which also runs a helicopter and tour boat service.
He said company will begin renovation work on the restaurant next month, but declined to name the company concerned.
“The company is known for its foreign clients and it is hoped that through this restaurant, we will be able to promote Terengganu to the world and bring in more foreign tourists to the state,” he said when met by Bernama.
The 638 metre-long drawbridge, which is the first in Southeast Asia, has a 16-floor twin towers. it was opened to the public last Aug 1.
The hydraulic bascule bridge, costing RM248 million, links Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus.
