Kedah looks to coach for winning formula in Malaysia Cup final
Last Update: 29/10/2019

ALOR SETAR, Oct 29 -- Kedah coach, Aidil Sharin Sahak has been entrusted to map out the right strategy for the Red Eagles in the 2019 Malaysia Cup final against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil this Saturday.
Kedah Football Association honourary secretary, Mohd Asmirul Anuar Aris said even though their two leading defenders, Mohd Rizal Ghazali and Renan Alves would not be playing, he is optimistic the Singaporean coach has the best ideas and formula for Kedah to overcome JDT in the game.
"In terms of preparation, I find the players are ready and will go all out. I know Aidil has his own format such as the FA Cup final against Perak in July when he placed Amirul Hisham to substitute Renan.
"This time, I am not sure who will replace the two full-backs but we put our full trust in Aidil to strengthen the team,” he told reporters here today.
Renan Alves and Mohd Rizal will not be fielded this Saturday as they were suspended after collecting two yellow cards in the quarter-finals and semi-finals.
Mohd Asmirul also hoped all players would give their best in the final match apart from playing according to the coach’s tactical instructions.
On final match ticket sales for Kedah supporters, Mohd Asmirul said each individual is limited to purchase only three tickets which will be sold at Darul Aman Stadium counters on Thursday.
He said 26,610 tickets will go on sale at 10.30 am priced at RM50 each for adult while 750 tickets for children under 12 years old will cost only RM5 each.
"Fans are advised to obtain their tickets direct from the counters or online to avoid getting cheated by third parties.
“They need not come at dawn or sleep at the stadium to obtain the tickets as there are enough to go round,” he said.
Kedah advanced to Malaysia Cup final with more away goals after an 8-8 aggregate draw with Pahang in the semi-finals.
