Metro Kuala Lumpur Polytechnic wins 2019 MPISFF Short Film award

ARAU, Nov 12  -- METRO Kuala Lumpur Polytechnic clinched the Best Short Film with its production of 'TABITO’ (There's A Bun In The Oven) at the Malaysia Polytechnic International Short Film Festival (MPISFF) today.

The victorious team comprising seven students and two lecturers took home RM2,000 and a trophy presented by Polytechnic and Community College Education Department director-general Dr Mohammad Naim Yaakub.

The seven-minute film directed by Harun Arashid Mohd Ridzuan also won the Best Director award.

Harun Arashid, 20, when met said his group spent about two weeks to complete the shooting using two DSLR cameras.

The film festival which entered its third year was held at Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Polytechnic here, saw 20 polytechnics nationwide taking part with the Iloilo Science and Technology University of the Philippines.
