FAMA gives donation to widow of ‘Ops Daulat’ hero

SEREMBAN, Dec 30 -- The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) today contributed RM6,135 to Nurunnisa Abu Bakar, the widow of Sergeant Major Sabaruddin Daud, who was killed during the ‘Ops Daulat’ offensive against Sulu terrorists in Lahad Datu, Sabah, in March 2013.

Nurunnisa, 48, received the contribution from Negeri Sembilan deputy police chief SAC Che Zakaria Othman at the family residence in Taman Senawang Perdana, near here.....

Sungai Belihoi tributary back to normal, free from pollution - Exco


SEREMBAN, Dec 29 -- The Sungai Belihoi  tributary in Mantin, polluted by the dumping of waste believed to contain chemical residue on Wednesday, is back to normal and free from pollution.

 
 

Report on bungalow affected by soil movement ready by Jan 8

Govt hospitals in Selangor awarded HACCP, GMP certifications


SHAH ALAM, Dec 26 -- Seven government hospital kitchens in Selangor have successfully obtained the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification while 11 more hospital kitchens were awarded the Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP) certification since 2006, said state Health director, Datuk Dr Khalid Ibrahim.

SEREMBAN,  Dec 26  --  Forty-five factories around Nilai  which produce waste solvents and oils that are pollutants, have been inspected by the state Department of Environment (DOE), to date.

 
 

A stream in Mantin believed to be contaminated with chemical substance


SEREMBAN, Dec 25 -- An unpleasant smell (odour pollution) that suddenly hit the residents in the area around Batu 4, Mantin early this morning was due to chemical substance, as an oil spill was discovered in the stream by the Seremban Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 24 -- A total of 37 factories in Selangor were inspected in a integrated  odour operation to investigate the cause of closure of the Semenyih water treatment plant and 28 premises were found to be in compliance with Environmental Quality Act 1974, said the Department of Environment (DOE).
