KL gets 16 Melaka trees to symbolise close MBMB-DBKL relationship

KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 (Bernama) -- The Melaka Historical City Council (MBMB) today presented 16 Melaka trees to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to mark the close relationship between the federal capital and Melaka.

Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan said the Melaka trees would be planted in several places in the capital in line with the Kuala Lumpur Low Carbon Society 2030 campaign. 

"For today’s tree planting programme, two of the trees will be planted in Jalan Melaka while the remaining will be planted at the Perdana Botanical Gardens, Taman Metropolitan Batu, Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi and the DBKL Nursery," he said at the tree planting ceremony in Jalan Melaka here, today.....

Motorcyclist run over by fellow motorcyclists in tow, car


KUALA LUMPUR, July 21 (Bernama) -- A motorcyclist crashed his machine into the rear of a lorry before being run over by the motorcycles of two friends in tow and a car at KM  430.4  or the North-South Highway near Bukit Berunting at about 2.30 am today.

Scheduled water maintenance works at SSP1 water treatment plant next week postponed


SHAH ALAM, July 19 (Bernama) -- The planned maintenance works to be carried out at the SSP1 Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1) Water Treatment Plant  (WTP) on July 23 has been suspended following the odour pollution incident at Sungai Selangor which forced the SSP1, SSP2 and SSP3 WTPs to be shut down at 2 pm today.
