Seven years' jail, caning for robbing student

KUANTAN, Nov 5  -- The Sessions Court here today sentenced an eatery shop assistant to seven years’ jail and two strokes of the ratan after he pleaded guilty to a charge of robbing a Form Three female student about two months ago.

Judge Dazuki Ali ordered that the jail sentence imposed on Sheikh Norafzan Abdul Ghani, 31, from Wakaf Bharu, Kelantan, begin from the date of his arrest on Sept 16.....
