Advice to Terengganu folk over rise in dengue cases

KUALA TERENGGANU, Aug 27 (Bernama) -- Terengganu Director of Health Dr Mohd Jusoh today advised the people to keep their housing areas clean and destroy the breeding grounds of the Aedes mosquito in view of an increase in the number of dengue cases this year.

He also advised those involved in outdoor activities, especially between 5 am and 8 am and between 5 pm and 8 pm, to wear bright-coloured long-sleeve shirts and long pants to keep the mosquitoes away from them or to use mosquito repellent.....

Action on illegal Vietnamese fishing boat, crew despite flying Jalur Gemilang to mislead authorities


KEMAMAN, Aug 26 (Bernama) - They had flown the Jalur Gemilang on their fishing boat in the hope of deceiving the authorities, but it was not to be as the 14 Vietnamese men on board were detained by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) for trespassing and illegally fishing in the waters off Terengganu yesterday.
