Perak district councils urged to provide free housing to hardcore poor

IPOH, April 23 (Bernama) -- The Perak government has urged district councils in the state to provide free housing to the hardcore poor through the Organised Village Plan (RPT) as they cannot afford low-cost houses even priced as low as RM70,000.

Chairman of the state Housing, Local Government, Public Transport, Non-Islamic Affairs and New Villages Committee Paul Yong Choo Kiong said this was one of the ways the state government could show it cared for the people of the state.....

Perak govt to downsize civil service in phases
