15 people believed to be involved in immigrants smuggling arrested

JOHOR BAHRU, June 17 (Bernama) - Johor police arrested 15 individuals believed to be involved in smuggling illegal immigrants into the country through ‘Ops Pintas Selatan’ in various places, including coastal areas, from May 13 until today.

State Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd said operations covering 24 roadblocks across the district inspected 700 vehicles and 1,074 individuals of various ages.....

Remand extension for 2 suspects in woman's murder


JOHOR BAHRU, June 17 (Bernama) -- Two men believed to be involved in the murder of a woman whose body was stuffed into a box and left at the roadside at Taman Setia Indah light industrial zone here last week have been further remanded for six days until June 23.

 
 

Melaka CM Adly to defend Amanah Melaka Chairman, national committee member posts


MELAKA, June 17 (Bernama) -- Melaka Chief Minister Adly Zahari said today he intends to defend the post of Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Melaka chairman at the party elections to be held in December.

He also said that he will defend the post of Amanah committee member at the national level.
