BINTULU PORT HOLDINGS BHD’S (BHB) wholly-owned subsidiary, Samalaju Industrial Port Sdn Bhd (SIPSB) has issued a letter of acceptance to See Song and Sons Sdn Bhd for the contract on maintenance dredging works with a value of RM25.29 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, BHB said the contract at Samalaju in Bintulu, Sarawak would take place for five months, effective from the date of notice to commence works which would be issued separately.

At the market close today, BHB’s share price was traded two sen higher at RM4.50 with 1,500 shares transacted.

CO-OPBANK PERTAMA (CBP) will extend the Money For Merdeka Private Financing-i Campaign (#M4M2.0) from Sept 15, 2021 to Dec 31, 2021 following the surprisingly good response to the campaign which offered an apartment worth RM100,000 to the grand winner.

TOP GLOVE CORPORATION BHD has launched its inaugural Zero Harm on Mental Health programme in conjunction with World Mental Health Day in an effort to raise mental health awareness in the corporate sector, promote mental wellness and breaking the stigma on mental health in the workplace.

In a statement today, it said the Zero Harm on Mental Health programme aims to provide preventive measures through psychoeducation and training, create awareness among employees and enable them to prepare themselves, identify who might be at risk and know who they can reach out to for help.

 “Initiated by the Top Glove Global Doctors (TGGD) Mental Health Clinical and Crisis Support Team, this programme, together with the existing Zero Harm and Safety Health Emergency Preparedness Programme introduced in 2019, provides a comprehensive safety and wellness action plan for Top Glove employees,” it said.

CN ASIA CORPORATION BHD (CNAsia) has entered into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Poly China United Capital Holdings Ltd to collaborate and explore opportunities in the poly green energy and drones technology for the period 12 months.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, CNAsia said the company has been desirous to venture into green energy and drones technology to expand its revenue base. 

It said the collaboration was to market various systems and products offered by Poly to customers and users in Malaysia as well as Southeast Asia interested to set up and install Poly’s products and systems.

“The MOA is also to provide the relevant support to Poly including tendering, licensing, procurement, construction and commissioning,” it said.

MCE HOLDINGS BHD’S wholly-owned subsidiary MCE Ventures Sdn Bhd has entered into a joint venture cum shareholder agreement entered with Chongqing Beidou Jiean Neo-Energy Technology Ltd to expand and widen its product range.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said a joint-venture company would be established for a share capital of RM2 million comprised 2,000,000 ordinary shares.

“The joint venture will enable the MCE Group to act as a centre for research, dissemination and incubator to facilitate as well as accelerate the local usage and product development capabilities for electrical and hydrogen motorcycles and design, develop, manufacture and assemble the products,” it said.

The group also said it will provide additional income stream for MCE in the long run.
