PRUDENTIAL BSN BAGS GIFA EXCELLENCE AWARD (TAKAFUL) 2021

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18  -- Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd (PruBSN), a leading takaful operator in Malaysia, was recently awarded the GIFA Excellence Award (Takaful) 2021 at the Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA).

This award honours the achievements and efforts by organisations and individuals to promote and sustain the Islamic finance industry as an alternative financial system.

Chief executive office Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail said this recognition is particularly meaningful as the company celebrates its 15th anniversary.

In its 11th year, GIFA has grown to become one of the highly coveted and most respectable market-led awards in Islamic banking and finance in the world.

GIFA recognises governments, institutions and individuals that have exhibited outstanding achievements in their respective fields, contributing to the sustainability of Islamic banking and finance as a viable system within the global financial architecture.

Aligned with GIFA’s mission and purpose to drive the Islamic finance industry, Wan Saifulrizal said, PruBSN has introduced a variety of takaful solutions to cater to different needs and different market segments over the years.

Most recently, PruBSN launched PruBSN Anggun, a solution that caters to the different needs of women at every life stage.

He said it provides complete protection including female cancer, mental care benefit, and fertility care benefit which is the first of its kind in the market via its Mom Care supplementary benefit.

Besides, in effort to accelerate digital inclusion in the new norm, PruBSN introduced PruBSN Aman, which is the first peer-to-peer takaful community-based app in Malaysia that allows the participants to practice mutual assistance and help each other during the challenging times.

PruBSN Aman has a unique concept whereby the more participants join the community, the stronger the protection force will be among the participants.

Wan Saifulrizal said this award is a true testament to the company’s commitment to continuously introduce new product offerings and services that will further drive, promote and sustain the Islamic finance industry.
