TECK GUAN PERDANA BHD's wholly-owned subsidiary, Tawau Cocoa Estate Sdn Bhd, has entered into two sale and purchase agreements with Bewise Enterprise Sdn Bhd to purchase 123.83 hectares of land in Sabah and four vehicles for cash consideration of RM9.77 million and RM171,360 respectively.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Teck Guan said the proposed acquisitions would enable Tawau Cocoa Estate to increase its planted area and as a result, will increase fresh fruit bunch production and crop yield to meet the growing market demands in line with the projected growth of the oil palm industry.

"The proposed acquisitions are expected to be completed by May 2022," it added.

RANHILL UTILITIES BHD's indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Ranhill Water Services Sdn Bhd (RWS), had accepted a Letter of Award as a sub-contractor for the National Non-Revenue Water (NRW) approach 1 for Pahang - Package 1 for RM4.50 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ranhill Utilities said the project's scope was the replacement of system input volume meter and geographic information system mapping, and would be undertaken immediately with date of possession on Jan 5, 2022 and to be completed by Sept 5, 2022.

The project, to be undertaken over the next eight months will contribute positively to the earnings of RWS and Ranhill Utilities for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2022, it said.

DIVERSIFIED GATEWAY SOLUTIONS BHD (DGSB) has entered into two conditional share sale and purchase agreements to acquire a 51 per cent stake each in Excel Commence Solutions Sdn Bhd and Finther Tecnologica Sdn Bhd for cash consideration of RM4.59 million and RM7.65 million respectively.

DGSB has also entered into a conditional share sale and purchase agreement to dispose of its entire 70 per cent equity interest each in QBI Packaging Sdn Bhd and Makan Channel Sdn Bhd to Insas Technology Bhd for RM3.5 million cash.

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the proposed acquisitions and disposals are expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2022," DGSB said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

G3 GLOBAL BHD (G3 Global) has appointed Malaysian civil service veteran Datuk Seri Alias Ahmad as independent non-executive director and chairman with effect from January 4, succeeding Datuk Wan Khalik Wan Muhammad, who has resigned today.

In a statement today, G3 Global said Alias, 63 who served as the secretary-general of the Ministry of Education before retiring on May 22, 2018, is looking forward to working closely with fellow board members and the management.

"Alias holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Social Sciences and a Master’s degree in Strategic and Defence Studies from University Malaya," it said.
