KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 (Bernama) — Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad (Takaful IKHLAS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Berhad (MNRB), has brightened up the celebration of Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year by coming out with various community programmes to spread cheer to the target group.

In a statement today, Takaful Ikhlas announced that a contribution of the ‘IKHLAS Barakah Box’ to 200 'muallaf’ (new converts)  families around Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Melaka was among the programmes carried out.

“The IKHLAS Barakah Box is a joint effort between Takaful IKHLAS and Persatuan Inspirasi Mualaf.

“It is also one of the activities under IKHLAS Barakah House aimed at generating positive community development and sustainability, through financial assistance and activities such as the empowerment of education, economy, society, health and the environment,” read the statement.

Takaful Ikhlas also said over 2,500 packs of ‘bubur lambuk’  were prepared and distributed to frontliners at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) and the public recently, in appreciation of the staff’s hard work in ensuring the health and well-being of patients.

The handing over the bubur lambuk was done by MNRB Holdings Berhad Group president and chief executive officer Zaharudin Daud. along with PPUM director Prof Dr Nazirah Hassan, Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad president and CEO Datuk Rodzila Che Lamin and Takaful Ikhlas Family Berhad president and CEO Muhammad Fikri Mohamad Rawi.
