KUALA LUMPUR, 9 Mei (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) has announced that the Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) for smallholders had not been activated for April 2022 in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah dan Sarawak.
MRB, in a statement, said since January 2019, the IPG would be activated if the SMR 20 FOB average monthly price was below the RM6.10 per kg level or the farmgate price was below the RM2.50 per kg level.
It said for April, the average price for cuplump farm level for Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak was at RM2.95, RM2.60, RM2.75 per kg, respectively.
Hence, MRB said no payment was made for the month.
