KPJ'S UNIT RECEIVES GOLD RATING FOR SUSTAINABILITY SUKUK ASSESSMENT
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- KPJ Healthcare Bhd’s (KPJ) wholly-owned subsidiary, Point Zone (M) Sdn Bhd (PZSB) has been awarded the ‘Gold’ Sustainability Sukuk Assessment for its Sustainability Sukuk Framework (SSF) by the Malaysian Rating Corporation Bhd (MARC).
The rating is a testament to the highly impactful combination of green and social projects that will be generated from the proceeds raised via the issuance of the SSF, KPJ said in a statement today.
KPJ officer-in-charge cum chief financial officer, Norhaizam Mohammad said the recognition was a sign of the market’s confidence in the company’s business strategies as it continues to place sustainability and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) practices at the heart of its businesses.
“We believe this recognition will create greater value over the long-term for all of our stakeholders, placing us on the right path in delivering sustainable, quality healthcare services,” he said in a statement today.
KPJ Healthcare was also recognised for providing a reasonably high assurance of sustainability implementation capacity and performance, particularly with regard to the ESG risk management of eligible projects and activities.
