KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 29 (Bernama) -- Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd has offered a flood relief assistance programme to help ease financial burdens faced by customers and businesses impacted by the recent floods nationwide.

In a statement today, the bank said the programme will include options of a loan moratorium of up to six months, loan repayment modifications, and waivers of fees and charges for all conventional loans and Islamic financing facilities.

It said that fees and charges for selected services such as the replacement of debit cards, automated teller machine cards, chequebooks and passbooks lost or damaged during the disaster will also be waived.

“We understand the emotional and financial strain on the families and businesses impacted by the flood, (and) hope (that) the relief assistance will ease some of their financial worries,” said its group chief executive officer Kellee Kam.

The bank said it has also assisted its employees to get through this trying time.

Affected customers may contact the bank’s contact centre at 03-5516-9988 or their relationship managers directly to discuss the relief package that meets their needs.
