SHAH ALAM, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- Elitesoft Capital Bhd aims to double the company's total sales of electric vehicles (EVs) to RM10 million this year compared to RM5 million the previous year following its collaboration with several local and international companies.

The collaboration was sealed through a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony held today between Elitesoft with Roda Prestasi Sdn Bhd and One Mobile Care Sdn Bhd and three international companies namely Super Soco, Sarkcyber Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd and Xiamen Ampace Technology Ltd.

Elitesoft managing director Datuk Mohamad Azri Abdul Rahman said his company bought an 80 per cent stake worth RM1.5 million in Roda Prestasi, which is a company experienced in local EV development projects and had produced the BOS 2000 electric motorcycle in 2018.

“Roda Prestasi is more focused on local vehicle assembly work or completely knocked down (CKD) at the factory operating in Sungai Petani, Kedah. We are confident that with its experience and expertise in this industry, it will further boost local EV development,” he told Bernama.

Meanwhile, Mohamad Azri said a collaboration was established with One Mobile Care which is a smartphone service and chip repair company that is ready to expand its business wings and will focus on battery maintenance services and EV spare parts.

“So far, it has more than 50 one-stop centres throughout the country to facilitate access for EV users to get maintenance and battery replacement services and spare parts,” he said.

While for Super Coco, Sarkcyber and Xiamen Ampace based in China, he said they will be officially involved with his company for the cooperation of technology transfer and expertise.

”For the initial stage, Super Coco and Sarkcyber will help to channel expertise and train locals for their CKD models here and the next phase will be for the production of local brand models," he said.

Mohamad Azri said that with this comprehensive cooperation, he is confident that in the next five to 10 years, they will be able to produce international standard electric motorcycles and scooters for commercial and enforcement use.

He added that the collaboration with Xiamen Ampace will involve the transfer of technology and expertise in battery manufacturing specifically for EVs in Malaysia as well as the development of an EV battery manufacturing plant in the country, while Elitesoft provides an EV battery disposal and recycling centre.

Elitsoft is a leading supplier of international electric motorcycle and scooter brands such as Surron, Super Socco, Go Trax and Yamee in Malaysia. The company is now expanding its involvement in the EV industry through CKD.
