KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (Bernama) -- The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) is set to host the National Economic Forum (NEF) 2024 at the One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya on May 9.

Under the theme "Strategic Innovation and Global Alliances: Propelling Malaysia to the Forefront of the Global Economy", the NEF 2024 aims to bring together 500 to 800 leaders from various sectors to engage in critical discussions that will shape the future economic landscape of Malaysia. 

The organiser said in a statement today that the forum would feature three compelling panel discussions led by distinguished panelists and moderators designed to foster robust dialogue on pivotal issues, including economic transformation and strategic directions for Malaysia's journey toward becoming a leading competitive force on the global stage.

It also said the forum would be inaugurated by Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli and Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang.

The forum is backed by the collective strength of NCCIM’s five constituent chambers namely The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia (DPMM), Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MAICCI), Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) representing a robust membership of 750,000.
