KLANG, Sept 23 -- GM Klang, Malaysia’s largest wholesale centre, is expanding its offering to customers and wholesalers, in line with its aspiration of becoming a domestic and international trading hub.

Corporate communications and public relations assistant manager Nur Faezah Mohd Arsad said the wholesale centre also has its own vision which is to facilitate local entrepreneurs trading activities.

She said GM Klang has 2,500 wholesale space units that enabled would-be entrepreneurs who wanted to start a business or entrepreneurs affected by the pandemic to do business by getting a minimum order at the wholesale centre and start a small business.

“GM Klang is visited by customers from all over Malaysia not only to shop but also buy goods in wholesale to sell in their respective places,” she told Bernama.

She said among popular products at the wholesale centre are sheets, curtains and Muslimah products.

Nur Faezah said GM Klang also aimed to fully vaccinate its employees by end-October to ensure herd immunity in the complex itself.

“This is a responsibility that we have to shoulder as caring Malaysians to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for the community to conduct their business activities here as well as shopping activities at GM Klang,” she said.

She said GM Klang Wholesale Centre, which resumed its operation on September 16, is only allowing fully vaccinated with no symptoms individuals to enter.

Nur Faezah said since entering Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), the environment in the complex has improved as compared to Phase 1 with the opening of more shops as more business sectors were allowed to re-operate.

Meanwhile, she said in conjunction with GM Klang’s 12th anniversary, the wholesale centre is organising the Road to Bonanza 12 campaign from June to December this year as a token of appreciation to its loyal customers.

“Customers who make purchases of RM100 and above using any type of e-wallet payment will be eligible to participate in the campaign.

“Two monthly prize winners will have the potential to win a domestic travel package worth RM2,000 and the main prize that will be selected this December, a branded motorcycle,” she said.

Besides that, she said GM Klang would make attractive gift-aways at its anniversary celebration later and customers could go to the wholesale centre’s social media page to find more information.
