More than 230,000 food baskets distributed in Sabah
KOTA KINABALU, Nov 26 -- A total of 235,368 food baskets have been distributed to those affected by COVID-19 in 27 districts in Sabah, so far, State Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Shahelmey Yahya said today.
He said distribution of the food baskets was still being carried out in the affected districts.
"For today, 4,991 food baskets were distributed in 17 districts,” he said in a statement.
The Tanjung Assemblyman said the districts included Kota Kinabalu; Sandakan; Tawau; Lahad Datu; Semporna; Kunak; Beluran and Tongod.
The other districts are Putatan; Papar;Tuaran; Ranau; Kota Belud; Sipitang;Keningau; Tenom and Nabawan.
