KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has generated potential trade, investments and business leads worth more than RM70 billion through its extensive trade and business programmes.
Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) chief executive officer Shamsul Bahar Mohd Nor said the success in forging collaborations at the expo prompted the group to continue providing a space for businesses through the Malaysia Pavilion virtual platform.
“The platform will continue to operate until Sept 30, 2022, providing opportunities for global companies to get more information on Malaysian companies and for our local industries to reach out to their counterparts overseas,” he said in a statement today.
The on-demand platform can be accessed through the website, www.malaysiaexpo2020.com.
The virtual platform offers an end-to-end e-commerce marketplace for industries to meet and interact with buyers and collaborators, including access to the weekly business matching sessions.
Users will be able to access virtual exhibition booths, join business-to-business meetings, business matching sessions and webinars.
There are also dedicated virtual booths for the Pavilion sponsors and participating ministries, agencies, state governments and companies.
Approximately 5,000 potential international buyers and 250 Malaysian exhibitor companies have registered with the virtual platform.
